I don't remember what my FIRST cassette tape was because I had so many!  Unfortunately, most of them were stolen along with the car many years ago.  However, I still have a bunch left!  Ranging from The Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" to The Eagles "The Long Run!"

I don't know what my first one was, but I had several of the Cars and Police on cassette, so probably one of those.

Man, I have to think about this.  I guess technically my first ever cassette tape I ever had was a homemade one my uncle gave me when I was a child.  It was a bunch of Raffi songs.  For an actual commercially released cassette, I think it was Billy Joel's Storm Front.

Wow!  That a long time ago, but that also means that both my parents were born pre-cassette tapes.

I used them to record from the radio and played them over and over again.
Sometimes when I hear a song on the radio that was on one of my tapes I expect the next song to be the song that was following it on the tape.
just the way our memories work I guess
