2 questions about Obopay...

First, do you need a mobile phone to sign up(only seen an entry for a mobile phone number on the sign-up page)?

Second, do you need a credit card or bank account to load it?

1st   No you dont need a cell phone. But any transactions that you do will have to be done online!!

2nd   No you dont NEED a bank account there are other ways. This is taken from their support page

What does it mean to 'Add Money'?
The 'Add Money' feature allows you to add money to your Obopay account using the following methods:

 ~Credit Card
 ~Debit Card (money comes out of the bank account it's associated with)
 ~Direct Deposit *
 ~Through Obopay's Load Network Centers *

* You must have applied for an Obopay Prepaid MasterCard®

What is a load network center?
"Load network center" is just a bank, convenience store, or other location you can go to to add money to your Obopay account, using your Obopay Prepaid MasterCard®. Load network centers include banks like Wells Fargo, Chase, US Bank and Wachovia. To find the nearest load network center, sign in to your account, click on 'Add Money', then click on 'Cash Load Locations'.
