do you prefer cars or taking public transportation

I live in a small town where there is no public transportation so I have no choice but to use my car. At least this way I can go when I want to and not have to wait.

I prefer to drive to where ever I am going. like when I moved here I drove 1149 Miles of course stop for one night to rest up and then arrived. If I can't drive I don't go. I don't like public transportation

I prefer a car.  I traveled via public transportation and, while it is cheaper, it takes forever to catch a bus when you need to be somewhere on time.  I lived in Chicago, so we had preferences on catching the bus to the el station.  And then there are express buses.  I could get where I needed to go in less time.

I live too far away from my work for it to be convenient to take public transportation. Not to mention, being a single mom and trying to get my daughter to and from school, sitter, etc. Just would not work.

i prefer a car but i don't know how to drive so im definitely gonna learn howto drive. I do not like taking public transportation it is annoying most of the time and i dont like taking it when the high school kids get out of school.

I will always perfer taking my car over public transit just for the reason that i can do my day to day activities on my own time table... This way is just so much less stressful for me!

I prefer a car when my car brakes down I am so lost but I have used public transportation when my car was down and had to go to a drs. appt. we have a transportation bus that you pay $3.00 fro round trip.

I love my car. I have used public transportation, and it's ok for some trips, but not on a day to day basis.  I live in a rural area where cars are the main way to get around..

Where I live, public transportation isn't readily available at an affordable price.  There is a larger town about 20 minutes away that offers taxi's and a bus system but a trip for me to get from where I'm at to there and back would run me $20 each way. I got rid of my car before moving out this way to save money - begin carpooling with my neighbor and only use my hubby's truck for work purposes.  After 4 months of living here my sister showed up with a Honda for me.  I used it for 3 months and the back end started shifting... I didn't realize how nice having wheels at my finger tips was until than..so private transportation is my liking for now.

Car, but sometime i want to ride public transportation, if i dont need to carry anything, But I still have toddler, car is still the best.

Depends on where you live. If you live in a city like New York or DC you are better off w/ public transportation because its cheaper (property taxes, gas, maintenance...etc)

I'd rather have my own transportation since I live in a small town without a real mass transit system, but I don't have that right now.  The commuter train to the big city where there's mass transit comes in mighty handy though.
