My husband has been doing the cabbage soup diet. He lost 10 pounds so far after 2 weeks. Just because of him being on that diet and me not having to make huge meals with meat, potatoes, vegies, etc I have also lost 10 pounds!
Cabbage soup diet does work wonders and it is doctor approved they use it for patients who need to lose weight fast for a surgery. You can also look for variations online.

Right on! I have tried just about every diet known!  I tried the three day hot dog diet, five day potato diet, seven day soup diet, two day ice cream diet and the two week mayo clinic diet.  The soup diet was good for two days but after awhile you get so sick of the soup that you stop eating altogether and pray for the seventh day to come!  The mayo clinic/scarsdale diet was the most effective of those referenced and was a good way to lose twenty pounds in two weeks but I think that the ultimate goal isn't to lose weight but to look good physically which brings us back to your method and variations thereof. Working out and eating right will produce the best, desired results.

The is no quick weight loss gimmick that works. The key is portion control and exercise. It take a bit of time.

I could never join weight watchers-it involves counting points and calories.  That would grow old really fast for me.  There are so many gimmicks out There.  People are greedy and know that people are vunerable and need help with losing weight now.  There is the woman who swears she lost using Nutri Slim  something or other. This with a woman is shown after having babies and losing weight with a great body.  People you must know that she is an actor with a trainer and someone else to prepare food for them.  The woman has six pack abs and 2% body fat.

I don't believe in any weight loss gimmicks -- you need to exercise and have a good/better diet than you will lose weight and become healthier.  Even just walking can help a lot.  Start off with a 20 minute walk than add 5 minutes each day and soon you will be able to do a multiple hour walk with no problem.

It appears that more companies are inventing weight loss programs. Most of these programs are a waste of time, and money. Miracle pills, powders and shakes are now appearing on websites, and store shelves across the nation at alarming rates. Obesity is a major issue in the United States, and company owners are taking advantage of this known fact. Every day I watch commercials about a weight loss product that promises to give great results, and help consumers to achieve the look that they want......the pounds aren't dropping but the companies are definitely getting richer. It would be great to see some success actual real life success stories from these companies. They use celebrities as their spokespersons who can afford to use their money to control their weight. Don't fall victim to these companies....I currently loss 6lbs in 3 weeks counting calories and walking for 30 minutes a day. You can do it without spending a dime. Don't be a victim.

I agree with you.  Rather than waste time and money on "losing" propositions, the best way is to monitor your eating habits, exercise and water intake.  That with some self-motivation with help and of course, if you have a "buddy" it will be even better!!!!

Fads never work, but things like Weight Watchers do because it teachers portion control and how to curb hunger cravings.

I agree, but sometimes you just need it to get started and then do all of the stuff my yourself.  Right now I am doing a no carb diet for about three days and next week I am going to do portion control and I am walking and doing dance classes to keep moving.

I get so tired of all the weight loss gimmicks. I know the best, healthiest, and probably easiest is to eat less...healthier, and work out more or exercise and be active.
