Go with your heart, it does not matter in this day and age if you are straight or gay or WHATEVER.  If your friend is "interested" then it will pan out. in other words, if it is meant to be then it will be, you can not make someone love you.

would you want something further with this person and that's why

For one he doesn't sound all that "straight". Sounds to me like he himself is in complete denial about his preference.The reason for me saying that is because I grew up with alot of gays and I love them.But in the mixture of this crowd you will find down low brothers and those that insist that they love women but after hours tell another story.I have met all types of men from the gay family and he just sounds like he needs to first be honest and real with himself.Then after he has that situated then maybe you will see him and things in a different light.And maybe then he will be able to see you the same way.
But the don't rush into something that you are not ready for. Seek truth first and let love and life do what it's gonna do. But I wish you luck on it.Hope all goes well for you.Best wishes babe!!!

How "straight " is your friend?  It sounds like he is into you but wants to take it slow with the midnight sessions to see if the interest is mutual.

This is possibly a test on his part.  Are you comfortable with the the sessions, its possible he's afraid and in denial and not exactly sure how you will react if he comes on too strong.

Has he shown any interest in you as a to become more involved or do you think its only as a platonic friend?

I was just experimenting.
If I didn't love my boyfriend so much and I wasn't completely committed then I would most likely fool around with those of the same sex.
