Yes, a nine and a half year old Beagle named Lilly.  Back in March, she had a fairly serious bought with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), which is a common problem with her breed.  She had some paralysis in her hind legs and was confined to a crate for two months.  She is much better now, but has to be watched very closely.  No more jumping, no more free roaming in the backyard unless her back side is being harnessed, and just overall awareness of what she is doing. Even though the area healed and scar tissue built up, she is at a much higher risk for it to happen again, especially in the discs surrounding where it happened.

I have a 95 pound mixed Sheppard and lab. He was my nieces dog and she had to move to a place where she couldn't keep him so I took him in. VERY FURRY, though. I literally have to take a butter knife to comb the carpet with his fur or my vacuum gets clogged up. He is a big baby, though, and is great with my son.

I have a cat, Misi.  He's seven years old.  He's my baby, my best friend, and my world.  Spoiled rotten and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier, Jake, who is almost SIXTEEN years old. He's actually very healthy for his age and still has lots of spunk and energy. He's totally a joy, despite the massive amount of shedding.

Also have two domestic shorthair cats, a tabby and a gray one. The tabby loves everyone and will gladly cuddle at any time. In fact, he practically demands it hahaha! The gray cat is a little more selective as to whom he gives attention, but I (usually!) make the list.

Jack Russell's are known to have nice long lifespans when they have been given proper care throughout their life.  You obviously have been taking very good care of your boy.  I hope he has many, many more healthy years to come!

I don't own a dog or a cat. I had a cat when I was a child. I would love to have a dog some day. However, I can't have a dog where I currently live. When I move somewhere different I would love to have either a Siberian Huskie or a Golden Retriever.
