Reaction to Miley Cyrus VMA Performance

I thought it was oddly ridiculous. I think she was trying to come cross as "sexy", but her movements were just strange. I can see how her gestures might have offended others... although they didn't offend me -- they cracked me up!

Was it overboard?  Yes.  Has she gone crazy?  Yes.  But I keep hearing people complaining because their kids saw it...It's MTV!!!  They show things on that MTV that kids shouldn't be watching.  With that in mind...her performance was approved by many and the VMA's knew what she was going to do.

I think that is a sad situation. I guess now that she is 20 years old she has to come out on her own but, to try to be like madonna is not one to emulate.

I watched the Miley Cyrus VMA show the next day on Youtube and was kind of grossed out.  I found none of her gyrations exciting and felt that her routine was poorly executed and even more poorly choreographed.  I can kind of understand how she might do this to break away from Disney, and her father, but the entire performance was, when not gross, quite laughable in a pitiful sort of way. I have a feeling that she will probably take the same path that so many "B" stars take...alcohol, drugs and psychosis...if she isn't already there. Move over Lindsey Lohan, Brittany Spears and Amanda Byne-their is another wasted teen fighting for your headlines!

good press bad press its all good every one is talking about her on the net in the papers in our daily gossip she done her job well cause we are all amazed and yet horrified  she could clean up her next show and we forget about this one she has earned her money and is happy

I use to really like her but now i feel like she is just trying to hard to be someone that shes totally not.... Its sad because she really seems like a sweet girl, but as far as that performance it was disgusting and i hope no kids were watching that!

All I can say is that I can`t believe Miley Cyrus grow so fast, I still can imagine when she was still a kid in Hanna Montana. I wish she stay as a kid longer.

I am disgusted by her actions. I hope all parents keep their kids from watching or listening to her
