To answer my own question it would have to be my mom.
She has got me through alot
i could have been out on the streets or worse
but she has always been there for me and helped me
when no one else would

My children have make a big impact on my life and my love for family and the Lord, without any of them I don't know where I would be.

My son is 8 years old and he is indeed my source of inspiration. He was adopted at three days old and is an African American. He has struggled a bit as he has understood that he is adopted, his mom and I being divorced, and looks different than others in the family. Yet, he keeps on going. He has a lot of friends and is typically a happy boy. Could not imagine life without him.

My husband has made the biggest impact on my life.  We have been married 44 years and he has always been there for me and yet never pushes too hard.  It's hard to think where I would be without  him.

Besides family-all of whom have made positive, loving impacts on my life, a story of a little girl, Elisa Izquierdo, made a huge impact on my life. I had wanted for so long to be NYPD, but reading this story of her, I knew that I was not ready to lose who I am, my emotions, my heart, my empathy and be hardened to the every day atrocities of humans. So I chose another path and still credit her to this day.

The Lord because if I'm worth Him dying for I must be special and he continues to bless me despite my faults.

My grandmother because she's always there for me.

My kids because I aspire to give them what I didn't have.

And my ex husband because after leaving him I saw how good life can be lol.

I credit my late grandmother, Allener Perry Oliver, with impacting my life in a positive way.  As I understand it, if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have survived, let alone lived to be as old as I am.  She passed away October 3, 1989 at the age of 83, and instilled in me the importance of an education.  She prepared me for her death when I was 16 by saying, "I am not going to be here always".  Of course, I told her she was not going anywhere, although I knew that she would die one day as every person dies.  In retrospect, I know she is proud of the woman I have become.  My grandson, Roshaun Elijah Woods, whom I affectionately call "Dootie", just made me laugh.  We were at the front door waiting for the school bus and it is raining.  He told me, "I know where rain comes from."  I took a bite and asked him where.  He told me, "The clouds fill up with water, they close up until they can't stand it no more, and then it rains."  He is 6 years old, and I was tickled because the way he told it, I almost could visualize the clouds condensing."  He is a beautiful little boy, and he tells me he loves me before going off to school.  He'll then say, "See you later, alligator" and I will say, "After a while, crocodile".

I think the law has made a difference in my life, I was down a bad road when the cops caught me, made me learn my lesson and I changed my ways
