SHOULD ENGLISH BE THE NATION'S NATIONAL LANGUAGE?

I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU PEOPLE THINK AS WE ALL KNOW THE U.S IS FILLED WITH A WIDE DIVERSITY OF DIFFERENT CULTURES AND LANGUAGES AND LIKE THE US DOESN'T HAVE A NATIONAL LANGUAGE.... DO YOU BELIEVE ENGLISH SHOULD BE IT?

yes English should be the national language it easy to speak and everybody is using it any so why not

  Yes it should be, and unspoken law it is.  We would save a lot of money not having to print ballots, driving tests, every government form, and everything else in 50 different languages.   We are the only country that does that as I understand it.

I strongly agree that English should be our nation's national language. Our forefathers that came from other countries learned English, so why shouldn't everyone who comes.

Yes.  There should be one official language as far as conducting business and official government forms and documents.

I thought English was our national language. If it isn't it should be and to become a citizen you should have to speak enough to get by. I wouldn't expect to go to another country and have them speak English. I would expect to have to speak their language.

Absolutely it should be the official language! The USA was truly a 'melting point' in which people from every corner of the earth came to become AMERICANS. The commonality of ONE language was not the only factor of what lead to immigrants becoming 'Americanized' but it was surely the single most common denominator in reaching that end.

Yes English should be our national language but don't force it that only causes resentment and hatred long term. It's also not right to force something upon someone. You wouldn't like it one bit if you went to another country and they told you what to do. Also, this country has something others don't. Because of all the different cultures and languages from everyone that is here that makes us special and unique & diverse. No other country can say that because no other country has the diversity in people like we have. I don't think it be right to forsake anyone to strip them of there herritage like that of there language by forcing ours onto them. It should be a choice and a right if they want to. Besides it get boring hearing just plain english speaking all the time

absolutely I hate going place and seeing different nationalitys pointing and speaking their language and you think that they are making fun of others I know bits of Spanish and French and  ran across a group of guys that were speaking very naughty to a woman and she had no idea what they were saying about her she just smiled and waved at them
