Confirmed the PTC "refresh" link is working as expected (at least in FF v23) - I get the page noting the other items one can complete for the next day's PTC 5 cent requirement.

Thanks for the explanation on who controls some of thos FC Surveys page items - reported the "issues" in case it was related to this site's code.  I tried those surveys again today (as they were still in my queue), and they worked as expected, as it appears the target survey router is up and running today.

Didn't notice anything new today (for once, right?   ;)  LOL)

Thanks for all your hard work in sprucing up the site!

I checked out the new design just today. Couldn't find the my "Bookmarked" pages. Are they now obsolete?

I don't want to site here and go through each tab to find the tasks I do daily. If the bookmarks are there, where?

Thanks.

Links to bookmarks on new design:

1) Put your mouse pointer over the 'star' bookmark icon on ANY offer.  A tooltip will pop down with a link to view all bookmarked offers.
2) On the "Paid to Sign Up" page, there's a link to bookmarks in the "Getting Started" box on the right.
3) In "My Account" on the left side is a list of links including ignored offers, ignored surveys, and bookmarked offers.
4) If you click "More" under "Earn Cash" you will find a link to bookmarks at the end of that list.

Hope this helps!

Everyone else, glad to hear it's working (finally) and thank you again for the detailed feedback.

Fixed a bug with redeeming PTC on IE7 (and maybe IE8).  If you're still using it, you should upgrade - but PTC will work for you anyway.

Looks great ... have been trying it out the past few days and can't find anything I don't like about it. Everything seems to be working fine too

Compared to the old design, I like the new design; it is easier to read.  I tried it for a few days and had to resort back to the old design because I could not complete my paid to click.  Hope it is fixed well enough to do everything.

Can you try the PTC on the new design today?  If it doesn't work, be sure to let me know which internet browser and version you're having trouble with!

Not a big deal, but I notice if you complete the PTC you get the page that says you have 0 cents toward tomorrows PTC and you can refresh the page to update it, but after a while it just takes you back to the PTC page. It would be nice to be able to bring that results page up anytime so you can check your status at that moment.

Glitch with the FC Surveys (actually this is happening on both the old and new designs).  When a survey completes, the redirect to the survey page is occurring within the popup survey window vs closing the window and refreshing the original page.

Original functionality - after a survey completed (successful or not), when I clicked the button to close, the survey popup window would close, then the FC survey page from my main window would refresh.

Current functionality - after a survey completed (successful or not), when I click the button to close, the page within the opened survey window refreshes to the FC survey page, while the original FC survey page still remains un-refreshed.  After closing the popup window, then the original survey page refreshes.

I've only worked this page with FF v22 and v23.

It's only a minor inconvenience, but worth adding to the "glitch" list.

I had this happen the other day too, and I also use Firefox.

3) I'm not sure why FC Survey DQ/success pages were not self-closing, but I've added some scripting to detect when that happens and self-close immediately.  It takes an extra couple seconds, but it's a temporary fix until we can get the change done on the FC Surveys side.

This is still happening in the old design, although I suppose it really won't matter as of 8/25 since the new design will be going live. Just letting you know...  8)

I noticed there is no scroll at the bottom of the account page.

The right hand scroll is there, but not at the bottom.

It shouldn't need to scroll horizontally unless your window is sized quite small (under 400-500px wide).  Can you post a screenshot to illustrate where you're expecting a scrollbar but not getting one?  I just tried resizing the account page and it did re-order some components but I didn't get stuff covered up that needed a horizontal scrollbar to uncover.

Yeah, with the hard cutoff coming so soon, I am only applying fixes/update to the new design.

i think it's fine.
the only things i would change would be to:
  • make the font normal size instead of large (everything seems to be larger than on current site, like 14pt or higher fonts?). Alot of us aren't vision-impaired and don't need/want large fonts. It makes everything take up more space on the page. If people need larger fonts, their browser has the option to zoom to make them larger.
  • have the "recent posts" under my account changed to "my posts" and show my posts there with a link to the forum in the main menu above next to my account. Forums are community, not personal so I don't understand why it's under my account in the first place. If someone wanted to go straight to forums, they shouldn't have to click through my account.

The larger font is not just for vision impaired folks, it's to reduce strain on the eyes and make the site easier to use.  A ton of people had FC's old design "zoomed in" to compensate for the tiny font size it used.  The font size for body text on the new design is 1em which is w3c's recommendation because it technically means "your system's default text size".  If you want it smaller you should be able to adjust it a number of ways but perhaps the most appealing would be Firefox's option to "Zoom only text" - which does exactly what it says.

And as for the recent forum posts, I agree with the logic that there's nothing really personal about them and they don't belong in 'my account'.  I added them after a number of requests from members for it.  Still thinking on the best course of action for those, but it will probably end up being a simple link to the 'recent posts' page on the forum instead of pulling them into the page as previews.  In any case, every page on the new FC design has a link to the forum in the header, so it's not hard to get to!
