I was listening to the Ray, Arnie and Dawn Show on Radio Loyalty to earn the nickel to do my paid to click, and they just walked me down Memory Lane talking about things that freaked people out.  I recall it vividly; it was in August 2000. I came to Mississippi from Chicago on a visit and spent time with my sister, niece and nephew who lived in the country.  My daughter was in the living room on the phone talking.  I was looking at this "Footprints" portrait in the living room, which had this wavy distinctive shape.  I finally looked at it and took a gasp; there was a snake that had crawled on top of it; it was wriggling and very close to my daughter.  When I took the gasp, I did it because I didn't want to alarm my daughter.  She looked at me and asked what was wrong.  I told her that it was a snake behind her.   She jumped up off the couch, ran and I followed in tow telling them it was a snake in the living room.  They killed it, but I got razzled because they were talking about how freaked out I was.  Of course, I was freaked out; I am not a fan of crawling creatures, and the fact that it was a snake cured me.  I was ready to go for sure.  My sister told me that my youngest sister did not cook, and I didn't need her to cook because I could cook for myself.  There were bugs crawling around in the kitchen and one day, I actually saw a lizard crawling up the window in the kitchen.  They were used to things like that, but I wasn't; I have never been washing the dishes and have bugs crawl on my hand.  Have any of you had a similar experience? :o :o :o

I once had a bad experience at an amusement park that kept me from a certain type of ride for several years afterwards (and even today I get a little squeamish)... I think I was 7-10 years old at the time, and our family had gone to this amusement park that was fairly close to our house. I was just getting to the age where I was starting to like rides with a little more thrill than the kiddy rides that I had in the past just wanted to go on. So one of the first thrill rides that my dad took me on was the Pirate Ship, and my dad knowing that the back of the ship got the most height as well as had the steepest angle up in the air, decided to take me in that last row. Unfortunately this particular ride had one lap bar that went across the entire row instead of individual shoulder restraints. To make matters worse, there was a man in our row that I'm guessing was about 300 lbs., so when the lap bar was lowered, his stomach prevented the bar from securing that scrawny 10 year old boy at the other end of the row... As the ride got under way and the ship started swaying higher and higher, I felt myself slipping underneath the bar. I had my dad sitting on the other side of me trying to push me back into the seat, while I was bear-hugging the lap bar to keep from falling out. Needless to say, that was the last thrill ride I went on that day, and it took me several years later before I'd even attempt to ride a pirate ship type of ride again.  :'(

i grew up in the country and had had nightmares about being surrounded by snakes until my late 20's  we lived across from a minnon farm which produced water moccison and frogs that were huge and as plentiful as the plague looking back now i am so greatful for them (the snakes) there are no police only state troppers that check on us but they usually have 11 county to patrol every day. you never knew if the person who came on your property was going to hurt you. at night you could hear someone coming for miles but durning the day bad people would kill and rape all the woman and children while the man folks were in the fields. i only knew two families this happen too. but i was scared of city people because they believe that no one would see their evil deeds. one of my friends witnessed an excution of two old people he was 12 he personality changed after that he was never the happy outgoing kid again. my father was so brave he would confrount people that came on our land unarmed i was always running for the shotgun. Usually they were misguided hunters that wanted to hunt our farm animals and pets or jehovia witness whom we found to be good company you have listen to someone that has no idea where they are and are almost as glad they found you as they did when they found jesus
