how are your gardens doing this year?
« on: August 04, 2013, 07:01:24 pm »
I would like to know how everyones gardens are doing this year. We had a lot of dry weather and we have nothing that is ready as of today. the only thing that seems to be growing good are my pumpkins. I sure hope I will have some luck with them. My veggies are not doing anything this year and I am blaming it on the weather. We have had a lot of rain but around my neck of the woods I am not the only one having this problem. So sad because every year my gardens have done great! :sad1: :angry7:

We've had almost too much rainy weather where I'm at. Our cucumbers, squash, and green beans did great. Our peppers didn't produce at all really though. We are getting a mess of tomatoes, but where it's so wet we have to pick them when they are still a little green or they rot on the vine from too much water.

Google is your friend. You can find me there. Can I find you there?

My garden was devastated by rain. Most of what I planted either died or rotted on the vine.

Thanks for asking. I already harvest my cucumber and there are more still coming out.
My bell pepper not much producing veggie and my squash is coming up late still small.
But my flowers are every where which makes my garden beautiful. Just seen the flowers
around the garden makes me feel great inside...

Too much rain here and the tomatoes haven't even started to produce.  I have cucumbers but they are small and slow growing too.

The deer loved it!  They ate all our tomatoes, beans and peaches.  They do every year so I really don't know why we even bother to put one out except my husband thinks he is fattening them up for this winter's hunting season.  And, yes, we do eat venison!
Have a wonderful day!

Ours is doing green. We froze tons of green beans already, made 6 quarts of pasta sauce, 6 pints of pickels and we have tons on green pappers and onions and the carrots are almost ready to pull and the corn is almost ready to.

Mostly weeds. No tomatoes yet. It's a sorry sight. :'(

Luckily for me, I have a friend who gardens and gives me lots of veggies, so it's all good.  ;)
