depends on how much time I have and how involved the conversation needs to be.

If I just need an answer to one question ... I text.

If I need to catch up with my mom or sister ... I call

It depends. I prefer to text, but some things are easier to say with a phone call!

Which one do u prefer talking on the phone or texting? I like to text.

What's your choice?
I don't text. If I want to use the phone it is to talk to someone and hear their voice. If I can't hear someone on the other end, there is no point in talking. I need the interaction of hearing . I will never get the concept of texting. Not only does it teach bad spelling and grammar, but it is isolating.

Whether you talk or text, it really does not matter.  My daughter got me into texting; when you are talking, unless you are on the speakerphone, your arms as well as your neck gets tired from having to change them so much.  These days, I don't talk a whole lot, so I prefer texting.

I like to have relationships with people in the flesh...I talk to friends who live far away and text my close friends.

Actually you can do without both when driving. What is wrong with people that it is a do or die if they don't answer the phone or a text.  If you want to either pull over somewhere safe and text or talk back.  I have almost been hit while in my car by some stupid A$$ ignorant individual who feels they have answer a call.

I guess it depends on who and why I'm communicating with.  I prefer texting most of time.  It's requires less time on my phone...texts are convenient in that I can answer them when I have the time.  Phone calls cost more for me to make, my connection is crumby and the whole process just eats up to much time.

It depends.  I would rather talk than spend 45 minutes texting when the conversation could take 2 minutes and be over and the issue solved.

But sometimes I would rather text because I just don't want to talk to anybody.

It really depends. If it's just a piece of info I need to give and have nothing else to say, then I text. If I have a lot to tell the other person or need more information, I don't want to be texting back and forth for an hour, so I call.

Seeing as how I can't text on our phones I have to say talking. Besides some of these kids today don't even know how to talk properly because all they do is text. If my teenager was given the chance she would be texting to all the time.

You know, I believe the phone was invented so we didn't always have to "write letters" anymore.  Now with this "texting", seems like we are going backwards instead of forward!!  Just saying......
