They do cost a lot, but I think it depends on how much you use the services for them to be worth it or not.

Sounds like smartphones did not come into somewhat regular and widespread use until after I graduated high school.  Smartphones, Facebook and Twitter all after high school -- no wonder people only a few years younger seem so much different.

Yes, they cost too much but I can't imagine not having one.

I was actually going to join the 21st century and buy a tablet instead of a smartphone, but when I saw the prices of 600, 799, and 850, I had to put the idea on hold- maybe forever.  I still have the old kind of phone, and am now considering a smartphone.  My daughter thinks it will be too complicated for me?  Not sure?

I don't know, I have an apple smart phone it costed me $250 and I have had it for 3 years now and it still looks brand new. I love it.
