Friedrich Nietzsche's quote is true.... I listen to music of all types... from soft rock/easy listening to jazz to blues to hip-hop to country rock to Christian to classic/hard rock and metal... whatever I'm in the mood for, I'll put it on.  I'm still the most partial to heavy metal since that's what I listened to when I was young.

What's your favorite genre or type of music?  It's kinda cool to see who listens to what...

I couldn't agree more. My favorite classical song is Nessum Dorma as sang by Pavarotti. I can't remember which year my favorite version of his was from, but I believe it's the one that is the most popular by him. Time to say goodbye is very nice too.

I also like the less calming songs like Ride of the Valykrie and there is another famous song I like, but I just can't think of the name. It's the one with the all the singers singing into a big buildup and climax. Very dramatic and popular. I'm sure you would know which one I'm talking about if you heard it.

I also like Gospel and the National Anthem. My favorite version is the Superbowl anthem by Whitney Houston.

Love all genre, but when wanting quiet time for some reason I want to listen to old standard bebop Jazz from Thelonious Monk or Coltrane.
