Finding a job
« on: July 22, 2013, 01:27:59 pm »
I am still struggling with finding a job. I would love to work at home. I have worked as a chemical dependency counselor for he past 13 years and lost my job due to  mistake I made at work. I am not able to work for another company that works with indivduals that struggle with addiction. It is hard to find employment. Any helpful ideas of working from home. I have looked on different site and they say no fees but when you get farther in the web site there is fees.  :dontknow:

Of course this makes me curious as to what "mistake" you made that you could never work with another company doing the same thing.   ???

I don't think what you are looking for exists.  I have been laid off or lost my job 3 times in the past 2 years.  Two of them have been this year.  There aren't any jobs out there and I NEED money NOW!  I have probably looked at every online money making scheme out there and that's all they are.  They only person making money is the one you send your money to so they can tell you how to scheme other people. :BangHead:

There really are lots of WAH jobs, but the competition if fierce.  Most of them are customer support or tech support.  Find a site called Ratracerebellion.  They have a huge list of companies that hire at home workers either as contractors or independent contractors.  I have picked up two contracts from leads there and I have three interviews this week and two job offers.  Now bear in mind most of these pay about $10 per hour, but if you cobble a few of them together it works out. You need to have a quiet workspace.  Some of them supply the equipment, some of them want you to use your own.  Most of them want you to have landline installed.  Also check out workplacelikehome  and wahm.com/forums     All of these are really good.

I wish you luck in finding a job.  You stated that you were fired for making a mistake at work and cannot work for other companies dealing with addiction.  You must have made a whopper of a mistake to have that happen.  I want to rejoin the workforce after being laid off in 2003.  I am nearing 55 in 42 days, but I may look into a wah position myself.  My grandson begins school in a couple of weeks and I need to be near home for him.

You can mention names of sites. Just don't post the links for them.
