Harmful offers

Is there some way to let FC know that certain advertisers are just not that great?  I know of one offer that gives you a virus, hands down.  If you search it in the forum, it's all people complaining of the same issue.  Yet, it's still here after two years.  When it comes to something like that, can't you guys do something when you KNOW the offer destroys our computers?  That offer is the reason I no longer have a desktop computer.  It fried my system. 

Please, for your sake, and future posters, DO NOT INCLUDE THE NAME OF ANY OFFER THAT HAS DONE THIS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR.  We have to respect the companies that give us the offers.

I'm just curious as to what it takes for you guys to finally give someone the boot when their offer obviously messes up your computer and contains viruses and harmful spyware.

There is no way visiting an offer can fry your system. It may destroy your operating system, but the hardware is still the same and can be restored. That's exactly why I use a Linux System to access the Interet, it is harder to compromise and easy to restore.

Just as a bit of general advice, everyone that gets on the internet should be using a good ACTIVE antivirus program!! There are a number of these that are very good and FREE. Running your system without one of these is a guarantee of eventually having your system compromised to the point of being useless.

Absolutely no question about that Old Buddy, Windows is THE main target for hackers and other miscreants on the net!! Just because Windows is by far and away the OS of choice for over 90% of PCs in use makes it so. However, I do suggest that those that use Windows OSs need to be using active anti-virus programs to mitigate their damages as much as possible. At the same time smart users should be scanning their systems constantly even when utilizing good active programs. Let's face it, people just are not going to stop using Windows regardless of how messed up or problematic it is so active steps should be taken.

No OS is immune to viruses iOS can get infected just as LINUX can, however their small user bases make them far less of a target for the evil doers. No matter what OS one uses, it is wise to take every precaution available to protect ones data and system.

Not true!  I've been using the FREE version of Avast! for years and I haven't even got a trojan!  I will say that if you have CHILDREN that use your computer, you most definitely WILL get bit.  Kids go to all sorts of websites and a lot of them are infested with viruses or trojans.  I haven't had a problem at all since my kids grew up, LOL.

The only way you can make that statement is if you are all done using computers for good. I made my living from computers for 25 years and thought I knew a lot about protecting myself, but I had two Windows machines brought to their knees in the same year, which is when I decided to use only Linux for the Internet surfing I do. Sure you could do fine if you don't go ANYWHERE you could be at risk, but that is not the Make Money Online area.

The trick is the Internet is ALL I do on my Linux machine. My normal every day computer is Windows, but I just keep it off the Internet unless it's to update my own websites. If my Linux machine ever did get corrupted, it's a quick task to reinstall everything since all I use is a browser and my data is all in the cloud (like Gmail). It took me weeks to get my Windows reinstalled with all my data and I still lost some.

P.S. I don't have any kids that still need to grow up and I am the only one that uses my computers.

I realize not everyone will switch from Windows, but that is their problem.

So, what IS fusioncash going to do about these deleterious/virus-ridden offers?  Will they remove the offers, maybe inform the advertisers that they need to run a virus check on their website ? Surely it is no disrespect to the advertisers, but rather a helpful tip meant to preclude dangerous viruses.

Bottom line whether it is easy to fix or not, FC shouldn't allow offers that will compromise/damage/mess up our computers. That was the point of the post. I don't care if it's easy to fix or not, it is still annoying to have to fix it.

FC should take care of any advertisers that give viruses, but first it has to be proven that the virus came from the advertiser, etc... they just can't go pulling ads cuz they MAY be giving viruses... and as it is only affecting a small per centage of people doing the offers, it seems unlikely that  the viruses are coming from them

What is the name of the advertiser that will harm your system if you click on it. Not knowing what offer you are talking about has me skeptical about clicking on any offer.

If you get your computer set up right you won't need to be skeptical and it only would cost you about five bucks for a USB thumb drive. Then install Browser Linux on it and you can quit worrying.
