Has anyone been on vacation this summer yet?

Has anyone been on vacation? If so, where did you travel to, and what was your experience?

I never go on vacations. There are always bill to pay and I just can't justify spending it elsewhere.

My summers are endless vacations every year now. We had a deep sea fishing expedition, a week reserved at the beach next month, my wife just went to Salt Lake to a Stampin Up convention and I will be going to Alaska fishing again later.

Just spent most of the time in the beaches near to our place.. we did not go overseas this time need to save.

I went to texas to see my dad so somewhat of a vacation because i brought a friend =)  it was nice just hung out went to lake went to forth worth stockyards (pretty lame) and just hung out in pool and with family very nice and relaxing vacation =)

no i haven't but got a cruise that im going to take in the fall

I went to new Hampshire for 4 days. Drove up Mount Washington and went to a drive in move with the kids for the first time.

Went to Wisconsin Dells with other family members for 3 fun-filled days. We stayed at the Atlantis Hotel, went on the Upper Wisconsin River boat tour, rode the Original Ducks, enjoyed Tommy Bartlett Show, played Adventure Golf, spent one entire day at one of their water parks, and visited numerous sites. And the best part was we did not spend a lot of money because we obtained discount books where most of the events were only $3 and some were free! We had a good time.

ive only gone to beaches about an hour away, but im going out of the country to  the carribeans next month!

We want to go on day trips this year but so far the weather has been so awful between heat and rain that we haven't gone any where. Also my husband is out of work so money is tight. He's going back to work on Monday but he'll be really busy for a while so I guess we won't get those day trips in for a while yet.

I thought I was this week.  My sister and family were supposed to be here but as often happens when a family goes back home, too many demands on their time and so they will only be here for one day.  Booh hoo. Now, since I took a whole week off from work to spend with them I am wondering if I should take off somewhere and try to make it back before they get here on Tuesday.  I would love to go to the ocean but it is an eight hour drive and this is 10:30 on Saturday.  If I left here at 10 tonight I could see the sun rise there.

I did not travel this summer.  Instead, my relatives are here with us.

I went home to San Diego to visit my family last month.
