I guess the scariest pests I can say we have here in Arizona are the Scorpions. When I'm outside at night, I take my trusty black light flashlight out with me. Scorpions glow a dayglow yellow under a black light so you can see them clear as day, LOL. I don't normally kill them unless they're at the ready to come through the doors, and of course, if I find one in the house. The bigger ones I find (2 inches or so) can hurt you but, no where near as bad as the sting of a small baby scorpion. The babies can't control their venom, so if you're lucky enough to get stung, you're getting a good dose. I've never been stung and don't want to be, either!
