I use the phone book and have a landline.  I carry a cell for emergencies, but don't give out the number.  I don't want to be reachable 24/7.  I look some things up online, but these days the search is free, but they won't release the information unless you pay.

I guess phone books will be obsolete in the future.  Life as we know it is changing so quickly.  I use a physical phone book occasionally, but I normally look up a phone number online.  I was trying to find someone today and I never could locate the free phone pages.  I could have gotten the number if I wanted to pay.

Yes, whenever I need to look up a number for pizza.

I still use one. Sometimes I don't want to wait for my computer to warm up and I don't have a smartphone.

I use phonebooks, because it is too much of a hassle to go turn on the computer and connect to the internet just to find a simple number. It's unfortunate that people are so taken with new technology that they give up simple things, and make their lives more complicated. Don't get me wrong, I like computers and spend most of my spare time on mine, but there are some things that are better done offline. Unfortunately, in our area at least, phone books are getting smaller and smaller, and I think they are being phased out.

Oh no!  I don't think any young person does anymore.  That must be a old person thing.

I'm not old, but I still use phone books, and prefer them over the internet for looking up local numbers quickly.

I still use a phone book at times, especially for local numbers.  I also made an Excel directory of friends, family, and other numbers I call frequently to keep in my purse for quick reference in case my mobile phone is not handy (or no WiFi when traveling).  I can update and reprint whenever there are changes.
