I am sentimental, so I keep things.  I think it would be so great to scan them and make a shutterfly book of, though!  That way, you don't have to keep all the papers, but you get all the memories in a nice book.

There are certain credentials that are important that I save.  I am married to the man who would throw away a million dollars in an instant.  He don't see a reason to horde things.  I told him that one day he is going to throw away something he needs.  I thank the person who said she laminates.  I am going to look into that.

I save some letters. Letters from my family and my husband. I still have all of my old journals from when I was younger. I like looking back on those things.

I threw all my old "love letters", soon after I got them.  Now years later I regret doing that.

if its an actual dated and signed, handwritten letter, i would keep it of course! except i usually have no space for old papers but i still like to keep them
because once in a while, you're in this clean up state of mind but then you dig up some old stuff and you just sit down and read through them all to see if its worth keeping... but since most of them made you smile, you decide to keep them anyways :icon_rr:

In this day and age everyone emails or texts. My mother is a saver, she still has the postcards we sent from summer camp.

I don't have that many letters but the ones I do have are precious to me.

I saved letters from my grandson when he was in basic training and also in Iraq.  I am glad I did because he passed away at age 26.
