I received 2 "confirm registration" links in my Inbox yesterday to confirm registrations for survey companies to whom I did not register. One was to Vindale Research and the other to Lightspeed Panel. I did not know who did it, and I was concerned. Tonight I went in and did ClipnGo for the 3rd time because I did not receive credit the other 2 times and sure enough one of the pages had Vindale and LightSpeed one right after the other asking if I wanted to join. I checked no as I did previously. Further into the Clipngo questionnaire they were automatically filling in radio buttons for all types of magazine, newsletter, etc. offers as yes when a yes or no choice had to be made. One could argue that even though I could hit the skip button at the bottom of the page, apparently the site submits information regardless of your consent. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I think it is unethical since companies like Vindale are paying $5 for each referral someone brings in.

PS I am new to the site. THe emoticons across the top of the formatting area are hilarious.

I don't think it's ever signed me up for something without my clicking yes...
But I finally got it to credit after clicking "yes" a bunch of times...

I have been signed up for many things that I did not know that I signed up for. (not just from Clipngo).  Maybe I am not being careful enough, but I do not like being signed up for things without me knowing about it. I do try to be careful.

This usually only happens if you click yes to any of their offers. Sometimes yes is automatically checked, so you have to be careful if you're not truly interested in what they are offering.

You have to be real careful of the one's that are automatically clicked yes and you have to change them to no.  It is beyond unethical. I know it is illegal with land mail to send an offer that you have to decine but I don't know about internet.

This is why it's a good idea to use a "junk" email address just for fusion cash.  It doesn't interfere with your personal account and you can ignore all the spam you get.  I've gotten 462 spam emails within the past two days just because the advertisers hand out the email addresses *bleep*-nilly.
