I heard they are bringing up the fact that he smoked weed the day he was killed. My son at 17 smoked weed a lot so did his friends he doesn't anymore. So many teens smoke it shouldn't be a reason for his actions at alL.have to go and watch the trail see what they say.

This doesn't matter.  They just want to drag his name through the mud to make it seem like it was justified that he was killed.

It's relevant in allowing the jury extrapolate on the type of person Trayvon was and not the media drawn conclusion on who he was. The only justification being argued is that it was in self defense after he was attacked and held down by Trayvon.

I have been following this case since day one and I don't believe the state is doing enough to prove their case. I am sure Zimmerman will walk. And he will still get to keep his gun, maybe next time he follows somebody they will have a gun too so the fight will be fair. Just because he had a permit to carry a gun does not give him a permit to kill innocent people with it. I am so upset over this.

While I have nothing against weed smokers, it is still illegal to possess it in most states and the jury knows it.  It certainly isn't just teenagers who smoke it.  I really don't think the fact that Martin smoked weed is gonna make or break the case for either side.  What bothers me is how they've tried VERY hard to turn a clear case of Self Defense into a racially motivated case.  That's just wrong but, we can't forget the fact how the Obama administration (and the main stream media) is pushing the racial discourse in this country.  The administration by NOT prosecuting cases of black on white crime and the main stream media by NOT reporting cases across the country of black on white crime.  It's Political Correctness gone wild.

This case is just too racially motivated to judge who did the wrong thing. I cannot say who is right or wrong or whether the person committed the crime or was in self-defense. I do not read enough about the case to form an opinion about it.  I do know that some news sources like CNN are saying that Blacks will threaten to riot if Zimmerman is acquitted. This could happen if nothing is done in their favor just the the L.A. riots happened in 1992 due to the police beatings of Rodney King and were acquitted for this incident. I have no idea how the Obama administration will handle this. But I highly doubt this will happen. The only thing I can say only is that this should have never happened in the first place and God knows the truth on who was in the right or wrong.

Here's my take on it:  it is unfortunate that an unarmed young man (Trayvon Martin) was killed by George Zimmerman.  The fact that he was unarmed should be represented here.  I have a hoodie jacket.  I wear it here because the weather is not really cold during the winter.  The fact that he was wearing a hoodie constituted a threat to Zimmerman.  If he hadn't taken the law into his own hands instead of letting the police deal with it, none of this would be happening right now.  Trayvon would still be alive, and there is going to be a tall problem if Zimmerman gets off.  I remember that one of my cousins was killed by a White man.  The police arrested him and released him an hour later.  There was a riot, there was no school for two weeks, and when school resumed, we were segregated (Blacks and Whites went to school together, with the children living in the country going to school in the mornings and the children who lived in town going in the afternoons).  We are talking about the year 1970.  If a Black man being murdered by a White man here in West Point, MS resulted in that, the chaos to follow if Zimmerman gets off will be far worse. ??? :o ???

The whole hoodie thing had nothing to do with anything. It's nothing more then some propaganda to stir up racial tensions. Trayvon was walking aimlessly in the rain looking up at the houses. That's not normal behavior. Considering the number of break-ins in the area, there's certainly grounds to be suspicious of someone who looks to be potentially casing the houses.

I don't doubt there will be riots if he is acquitted, and don't that there will be celebrations if he is found guilty. There were also celebrations when OJ was acquitted, even though all the evidence suggested he was guilty.

How do know this is true just because Zimmerman said so? He lied to the judge him and his wife before the trial even started.

There was riots in the streets when OJ was acquitted, trophy's being slammed into the ground and his jerseys being burned, and many other things.

The difference between these 2 cases, OJ had 2 white cops trying to frame him and Treyvon was profiled at the front gate when Zimmerman spotted him and decided to follow him with out asking him then and there can I help you or at least give him a escort to his home or maybe say I'm the neighborhood watch man can I call your parents?????

Revisionist history. People were celebrating and dancing in the streets over the verdict. It's rather unbelievable that after nearly 20 years, a book were OJ describes the murders "If I Did It", and you still want to claim he was framed by two white cops. That speaks volumes.

Shooting at a man and your kids while they are leaving the house isn't standing your ground. It's attempted murder.

I stand corrected if that's actually what she did. I heard it was a warning shot in the air or ceiling b/c he was abusive. Anything else would be attempted murder. Not many people will ever know exactly what happened though.

The fact is that they were doing this. The most celebrating came from burning jerseys and destroying trophies in a way they had disgust over the outcome. Your reason of trying to justify this only makes it racist. I want you to justify why Zman followed Treyvon from when he seen him at the front gate. That was entered in the case.. Zman was not in harm and all he had to do was call the cops and wait he did not that and chose not to wait.. What part of do not follow means follow the person who you called 911 on? Yes Neighbor hood watch have to follow laws because if not then why WOULD THEY MAKE THEM OF GUIDLINES OFF THE POLICE?

Again, that wasn't the case. The incident you are referring to happened FOUR YEARS after the verdict following an auction to help pay the civil suit. Two radio hosts bought the items to destroy them. Referring to this as a riot after the verdict is a severe case of revisionist history.

My belief that Zimmerman was not guilty is based on the evidence, which has nothing to do with race. Zimmerman shouldn't have gotten out of his truck and Trayvon shouldn't have went back to confront him after Zimmerman was headed back to his truck. However, both were well within their legal rights to do so. None of that really has anything to do with Trayvon attacking Zimmerman, which caused him to act in self defense and is why he was found to be not guilty. This was never a race issue.
