When did you first join Facebook

I was wondering when everyone out their first Joined Facebook and how old you were when you first got onto Facebook.  I am asking because I can't imagine being on Facebook back when I was in High School or even College.

I joined Facebook in 2008 when I was 25 years old and already out of College and High School.

It would seem so different to be able to see what everyone thought, or was up to, or their relationship status or their mood back when I was in High School.

I joined facebook in 2006 when I was only a junior in college.  Someone added me as a friend and I decided to create an account.

I joined Facebook in 2011.  I was in my early 50's and, on my birthday, which will be in 63 days, I will be 55.  I go on there to play games like Criminal Case, Hidden Express and more.  I have friends and relatives on there.

I started the topic because I believe Facebook has a entirely different meaning and influence the younger you were when you joined and especially if you were still in High School when you joined Facebook.

How about how many friends you have on Facebook and also in relation to the age you joined Facebook

I've never joined , although my teenage son has it. If i want to be nosey and see what is going on I look at his page ,lol

February 2008 - I was in college....some kids on my floor set up my account for me, but then friends started adding me, so I kept it.

I think it was in mid-late 2009 when I created an account with Facebook. Before that it was Myspace, but I didn't use it all that much before it changed. I still have an account though I never use it. I log in to FB at least once a day I think to read up on pages that I follow of things I'm interested in. I only talk to a couple people, though not on a regular basis. I can honestly say that I generally don't give a crap about the majority of posts I see from FB friends. Lol

I joined in June 2008 after I was already out of college and long done with High School.  I have lots of high school and college classmates as friends on Facebook, but I was not able to see their profiles and pictures and status updates when I was still in High School or College.

I would think it would lend to a vastly different High School experience if I knew what everyone was up to and what there thoughts were via the Medium of their Facebook pages.

Does anyone who joined Facebook while still in college have any experiecnces or thoughts to share??

Facebook came out in 2004, but I didn't get on until 2008. that would have put me at age 37. I was on Myspace until October 2008, then jumped to Facebook.
it is alot of fun making new friends. a word of warning though, if your friend requests go unanswered, you can be blocked for 7 days up to a month. same with requesting people that you don't know.

I joined fb about 6 months ago, so I could better keep an eye on my son's electronic activities. It's more fun than I thought it would be.
