I am a total saver with three spenders living in my house! In their defense, I work a minimum of eighty hours per week, so I am out of the spending market.  My wife works about sixty hours a week and the kids manage to find time to spend even when they are at school. My son is enrolled at a private school that costs forty dollars a day so he spends without even knowing or appreciating it.  My daughter just started driving so we gave her a car which costs three dollars a day in insurance even if she doesn't drive.  Her driving allows me to get to work earlier...kind a perpetual circle of me driving more!

I would really like to be a saver but most of what comes in has to be spent for necessities.

In the past, I have been quite a spender.  It was always easy for me to find something to buy!  I've since had a downward turn in my earnings, so I'm being forced to be a saver.  Although I don't know how much of a saver I actually am.  Almost all my money goes towards my living expenses and I have $100 left a month for non-essential things.  I have a part-time job that's bringing in some additional money and I have plans to just stick it in the bank and forget about it.  I also save another way:  I collect all my loose change and stray dollar bills at home and put them away.  I don't count them and I don't see them, I just keep adding to what's already there.

I am mostly a saver, although I find myself a spender sometimes.  I have been a saver most of my life.  My mom used to borrow money from me when I was in my teens.  My family calls me "cheap", but I have a few pennies put away for retirement that they don't have.  I do struggle with the question, "Live for today, OR Live for tomorrow" at times.  I mostly go with tomorrow. :angel12:

I am definitely a saver! Anytime I want something I always think twice and end up not getting it because I would rather save my money.
