I've had a couple and the drink that they gave me was either Strawberry or banana flavored.  If it's plain, that is another story and makes it difficult to drink it and keep it down.

I have never had a colonoscopy done. But my hubby had it done 2 times. I tried a sip of the drink the dr gave him.  It was gross. I know I'll have to drink it when I get mine done...not looking forward to it.

I had one a few years ago, and the drink is the worst part.  It is so hard getting it all down, the taste is awful.  Good luck hope everything turns out well or you.

I have one every three years since colon cancer has been in my family. That drink is the worst part of the day before prep. I always feel sick. Hopefully it's over for you now and you get good results. As bad as it is it's still better than colon cancer.

That stuff you have to drink can dehydrate you.  If you're feeling like you have to puke, drink some water along with it.  I realize you don't really feel like drinking much after guzzling that nasty stuff but, truthfully, it IS the worst part of a colonoscopy.  The test itself is a breeze.  Most physicians use the drug Versed.  It's a drug that puts you in a semi-awake state, although you will remember NONE of what happened during the colonoscopy upon waking up.

did you mix any flavored water with it. or anything flavored with it?    mixing it with just pain water is very bad !!!   I mixed mine with flavored strawberry water.  So it at least had a better taste.

I don't know....but I think they really need to get a better way to prepare people for these tests.  I know I have a handicapped cousin and they admitted him into the hospital to prepare because he wouldn't be able to handle the normal preparation.  They gave him some sort of drug that did the same thing instead of drinking a gallon of barf.  I know I wouldn't be able to stand the normal prepration.
