I purchased a Cruz T301 Android Tablet in July 2012, and was puzzled because I could not get the darned thing to do a task, let alone anything else.  Upon further investigation, I discovered that someone else had the tablet; their wi-fi and their name was preventing me from doing tasks.  Once I edited, put my name in and my wi-fi, it worked.  I wouldn't suggest it though.  I paid $89 for it.  I want to get one with built-in wi-fi, and am saving toward it.  I also want an iPad. ??? :o ???

What are you looking to use it for? That would help narrow down the many options.

Most of them with the Android system are probably the best.  I hear the Samsung is supposed to be one of the best.

I just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 WiFi 16GB Tablet at Costco a couple of months ago and I love it. It is currently on sale at Costco. I have not had any problems with it so far. The battery lasts all day and then some after heavy use on the internet.

I think it depends on what ecosystem you align yourself most with. If you already have apple devices, an iPad would go great with them. I say the same with windows and android tablets.
