Announcement: Changes coming to PTC on July 15th

Hello All,

I don't think this change will make you guys too happy, but unfortunately it's one of those things that just has to be done!

Effective July 15th, there will be a new prerequisite/requirement for completing the daily 15c Paid to Click.  The requirement is earning 5c or more in qualifying credits first.

What are qualifying credits?  Basically anything that isn't a bonus, and isn't the Daily Cash Email.  So you can meet the new 5c PTC requirement through tasks, videos, RadioLoyalty, searching on the toolbar, any survey, any offer, etc.  You can also mix and match (e.g. 1c from RadioLoyalty, 2c from a task, 2c from searching) to qualify. A lot of you are already doing this on your own, and for you, this shouldn't affect your daily routine too much.  For the rest, you'll have to earn a bit more to continue participating in the PTC.

Some details: A day starts at 12:01am Pacific time (check the clock in the top right of any forum page for official FC time).  You have to be credited 5c or more in qualifying credits on a particular day before you can complete the PTC. July 5th Update: You will only have to earn 5c in between each time you complete the PTC.  In this way, your daily routine need not change as long as you are earning at least 5c/day in qualifying regular credits.  This requirement will be in effect each and every day, from July 15th onward. 

One small sliver of good news is: at the same time, we'll also be reducing the time required on the PTC page from 3min to 2min30sec.

You may be asking why we're doing this.  The reason is that a subset of members have taken to completing just-and-only the PTC.  While this is not against the rules, it goes against the spirit of the PTC program, which was to reward you a little extra for showing up every day and earning.  Over the years, the percentage of members who only do the PTC has grown.  If we don't do something about it, it will become un-maintainable in the next few years.  Since we're focused on long-term sustainability (having just celebrated 8 years in business), we're making this change long before it gets to that point. 

We evaluated the possibility of reducing the PTC reward to 10c, or reclassifying it as "bonus" earnings instead of "offer" earnings.  But those options were strongly disliked in the December 2012 member survey that we conducted.  Most everyone surveyed wanted the reward to remain 15c and the classification to remain "offer", even if that meant meeting other daily requirements.

Sounds quite fair to me. I do all I can to earn anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. There are some days I'm time restrained and have only been able to do the DCE and PTC, but I think I can squeeze in something in order to do the PTC.

I don't mind this change.  All I'll have to do is change my order since I do this first.  I would love the flash game back eventually.  I miss cursing at it when I was only 10 points shy and it took me three hours to even get that.  =p

As always, I appreciate everything about this site.  PTC pays great, so I don't see anything wrong with having to do a bit more for it.  It's really nice to see you looking so far ahead to prevent future problems and to keep the site stabilized and up and running for all of us to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.  It means so much to me to find a site that enables me to help out financially AND be home to raise my kids.  Thank you!!!

Great idea!  It won't bother me in the least but, it's gonna bother those who refuse to work a little.  Perhaps we'll be seeing a mass exodus of laziness from FC, which isn't a bad thing.  Thanks for the heads up!

Good change, it should not make any difference to me just the order in which I work. I am glad that it will still remain an offer, thanks FC

It won't make much of a difference to me, I' ll just have to change my order of doing things.  No big deal.

That shouldn't be too hard, can usually do that in a visit if I'm not in a hurry.

It may change my routine a bit, but I usually complete several offers/activities per day anyhow. I'm definitely not upset and would prefer this solution to the alternatives you mentioned. Thanks!

I think this is more than fair and it's easy to get the offer credits.  I'm glad you didn't reduce the PTC amount.

It's not a major change, and it's reasonable.

The change isn't too bad.  It just makes me do more on Fusion Cash instead of the same ol' routine.

This is not a big problem will just as long as it doesn't become a bonus. If it does become a bonus I would have to quit using this site since I use so many other GPT sites.
