Perferred Batman

There are two versions of Batman: The less serious one is a blue and gray costume (Adam West played this one in a TV series), and the very serious one is a black and gray costume. Which one do you prefer and why?

Depends on the target audience.  I'd prefer the dark costume though since he's a vigil ante.

I'd say the darker one. Christian Bale did a good job as Batman, I finally saw The Dark Knight Rises. I also really liked Michael Keaton as Batman.

  for the TV show I used to like the old blue and grey one!!! but now with all these movies it has to be the more serious black suit, and that is the way I prefer it

If just referring to costume I would probably prefer the darker suit as he gives a more menacing and tougher feel. But but if complimenting with the voiceover of Kevin Conroy I wouldn't mind either way.

I like both the Adam West version and the Chris Bale version.It's like comparing apples and oranges though.

I really liked Christian Bale as Batman, by far my favorite of all whoi have put on the suit!

I liked Michael Keaton as Batman the best. I guess 2nd place Batman would be Christian Bale. I always thought the cartoon originals were so corny. Pow! Zap! Bam! Holy Sheep Dip Batman! They had some real winners for lines in that one. But it was one of the first real people cartoon strips. Back in the 60's you did not have much of a choice for TV. Some of did not even have a color set! That would be me!

I thought the old TV series of Batman was a lot of fun and I still enjoy reruns when needing a good laugh, but for a movie I prefer the original Batman.  As more Batman movies followed, they lost some of the seriousness that made it somewhat believable (well not really believable, but you know what I mean) until the last two movies.  I don't think any version of the Joker can ever live up to Jack Nicholson's interpretation of that character.

I would say I like both versions, each worked in its time period.  As for now the dark batman is great, but I enjoy the old version nearly as much

That Val Kilmer pic is great. I like both Batmans but for different reasons.

Movie Batman versions can be included, but since none of their costumes were black and gray, the question was more for an animated Batman. The Batman played by Adam West wore blue and gray, but that costume has appeared in animated form too.

...  I don't think any version of the Joker can ever live up to Jack Nicholson's interpretation of that character.
