i AM A FAN OF TEXTING.  AS LONG AS THE TOPIC ISN'T EXTREMELY IMPORTANT I THINK ITS FINE.  MY HUSBAND AND I TEXT TO EACHOTHER WHILE WE ARE AT WORK.  ITS NICE TO KEEP IN TOUCH AND KNOW HOW EACHOTHERS DAY IS GOING.  I ALWAYS GET A SMILE ON MY FACE WHEN I SEE I HAVE A TEXT FROM HIM.  GOOD TO KNOW HES THINKING OF ME.  :)

I feel the same way. I text my girlfriend all of the time. It's easier than talking and alows me to keep in touch with her while still getting my work done. :thumbsup:

Texting has some good points and some bad points.  Most teenagers will send their parent a quick text to let them know where
they are at and what they are doing, and they would rather text then call.  I find my girls text me more often with things I
wouldnt expect them to say over the phone.  On the other hand, when you're texting you cant hear the tone in your voice
and some can take what you are saying wrong or think you are upset when you're not.  You can clear that up easy so all in all
I think texting is a good thing.

I prefer to text message then to talk on the phone. I worked at a call center where I talked on the phone all day and by the time I got home I was tired of talking on the phone so I just text.

Texting...it's a thing in my past. Now? can't do. I rather call the person n talk it out than msg them 'hi' 'wassup' 'u hungry?' 'let's lunch'  :dontknow: I just feel texting makes it so impersonal.

it's cheaper to text than talk on the phone. You use up your mins and for unlimited text for most plans it's only 20 bucks a month.

texting has it's place...

it is the logical evolution of people carrying text pagers.... makes for easy ways to send notes, shopping lists, ask questions etc...

it's also got it's place for keeping in touch with lots of people and broadcasting information to a group of people in your address book... (eg running late...  movie time changed... etc...)

however, to many people in our society have no PHUCKING MANNERS.... and in many instances simply lack a clue...
texting in the movies?
at the dinner table?
while driving (while sitting in the drivers seat of a moving car....)

<sarcasm>
but hey.... this is america... we gotta be free to wreak our car while keeping in touch... cause well... it's our phone and who cares about them people we don't know who get hurt....  we don't know them do we...?
</sarcasm>

I text once in a while as long as its a short message or answer..don't really like it but I was glad I had it after the hurricane. I don't know why but my brother could text me on my cell phone but couldn't call me.
