I never got credited for it, either.

I don't know about getting a virus from it, though. I'll be very unhappy if it put a Trojan on my computer!

Gamevance is NOT a trojan. Like most offers we run on FusionCash they adhere to their own Terms and Conditions as well as their own Privacy Policy. These should be read before completing any of the offers on FusionCash - whether or not you actually have to download and install something.

The problem with Gamevance and your anti-virus software is that Gamevance records your browsing habits to customize the advertisements you view while using Gamevance. This can trigger your anti-virus into thinking that it is a virus since it is collecting, saving, and sending out information through it. It is nothing to worry about and will not degrade the performance of your PC and will not put your PC and personal information at risk.

TY Blondi for making this thread and putting a ticket in.

This is the NUMBER ONE reason why I WILL NOT download anything onto our computer!  Unless I buy it in the stores, it's not worth the hassle or the risk!  I've heard too many horror stories about viruses and such being attached to downloads off of the internet.

You really never know what's out there.  We need to play safe on some of these things...run spyware programs often.  We have found a bunch of things on ours...they may not all be bad, but they may not necessarily be good either!   :dontknow:

So...it's okay for something foreign to keep our info?  My hub's an IT Specialist with the gov't...trojans aren't really considered a "positive" in the world of educated technologists...probably not a good idea to keep them around.   :sad1:
