I love James Patterson, but think I must have read all his novels.  Anyone have any suggestions for a different author?

I like Nevada Barr who writes mysteries set in various national parks and the main character is a park ranger. I also just read a couple of older ones by Julie Smith about a homicide detective in New Orleans that were good.

LOL That's "Richard" Francis but he is known by the nickname which apparently the censors' don't like. I love his books too. Joan Hess has some great mysteries too that are hilarious.

Yes Yes Yes!!!
Lee Child and Harlan Coben

These are 2 of my favorite writers.  Child has written a bunch of books that feature the character Jack Reacher.  VERY interesting character and gripping plots.  Be prepared to just read - you won't be able to put his books down.

Harlen Coben has a mystery series about a sports agent.  He also has written several stand alone thrillers.  All are wonderful reads.
I could go on as I have others that I love to read but these will keep you going for awhile.  I envy anyone who hasn't read them yet.   ;D

James Patterson is my absolute favorite, but some others I enjoy are Agatha Christie, Mary Higgins Clark, and Dan Brown. The mystery genre is my favorite to read, I could just fly through series day in and day out if I had the time.

I am a fan of John Grisham books.
Always a mystery intertwined in the storyline.

Agatha Christie's mystery books are well worth reading. Nora Roberts uses an alternative name, J.D. Robb, and under this name has written futuristic crime mysteries that are pretty good.
