You missed not having responsibility. The best part of growing up is the responsibility to be able to do what you want. When you grow up you get better for responsibility you have more privileges to advocate the things that only adults can do. You have thought of privileges on voting for president's and other members of Senate and Congress and local officers. You also have the privilege of a married and having kids and raising them and showing them the right way to.

I miss the adventure of discovery and everything being new. I miss getting a total charge out of the smallest things and being happy for something as simple as an ice cream cone or finding a stray animal an being moved to care for it. I think I still am part kid now that I think of it.  :angel11:

I miss the energy too.  But mostly, I miss my family.  I was blessed with terrific parents who, while that didn't give me everything I wanted, gave me absolutely everything I needed.

As a kid, I had fun finding things.  In fact, I found my first puppy, Missy, in a kroger sack on the railroad tracks with her brother, Bob.  As I grew up, I discovered that I had responsibility for myself.  That has been fun, but if I had the chance to do it over again, I would have stayed a kid (LOL).

I try to be a kid as much as I can ... but I miss the lack of expectations people have on you.....when you "grow up" people all of a sudden expect so much from you without providing you the room/freedom to grow/learn as easily...

I miss the innocence of childhood. And Saturday morning cartoons.

I definitely miss the energy I had . I did not have a weight problem then. I also miss the free time to do what you wanted. Now with the responsibilities I have as a  caregiver for my disabled husband, I find I little time for myself. Now I need more hours in the day and definitely want the energy back without the puonds!

I of course miss the unlimited amount of energy and the fun I had just doing simple things like playing outside in the summer with the neighborhood kids and Saturday morning movies and cartoons at the local cinema  for .25 cents.

I miss the classic Saturday Morning cartoons.  Those were awesome.  I've tried watching the "kids" cartoons today and they just are not the same.  Sadly I think kids are missing out on those.

Outside of that, I still enjoy many things I did as a kid and many more I wasn't able to do as a kid.  I still have the excitement of exploring new things/places.  Appreciate natures moments - like my bunny friend that often comes for a visit in the evening in my back yard.  Creating new games to get the housework done (because a game isn't "work").  It's just now that I'm an adult, I can do so much more things that I couldn't do as a kid.  I'm loving it!

I miss the innocence that every child posses. The innocence of the world especially. I miss the fun I used to have with my friends, all the memories we made. I miss not feeling so pressured. I mean my parents did pressure me for good grades but that does not compare to the pressure I feel now to 'grow up' and adapt to life as an adult.
