I think you have to be careful if you're talking about someone of the opposite sex. If you're not in a committed relationship yourself and you're giving a Valentine to someone else's significant other you need to be sure that no one will be offended by it. If you've been friends with the person in question a long time then it's probably all right. But other wise it could cause trouble.
