Mother's day!
« on: May 06, 2013, 08:02:46 am »
So how do you usually spend your mother's day and do your children have a traditional thing they do for you every year? Every year my kids make me breakfast in bed and read me there cards they make for me,then we get ready go to church and my kids give me my mother's day gift at church after service and then we go to  the park and have a nice family cook out!I hope all you moms have a great and relaxing mother's day and enjoy being with your loved ones!:)

My mother passed away  :'(, so I no longer spend the day with her.  My kids are grown with kids of their own.  I will get flowers from them, cards, and they will take my husband and me out to dinner the next week, because naturally they want to spend Mother's Day with their children.

My mother and mother-in-law have passed as have had my two boys.  So for me it a day of mourning instead of clebration. Usually just stay home or go to church and out to lunch with hubby. A very quite day.

Enjoy mothers day but hate how the stores see it as another way to get people to buy stuff.

My mother is down in New Mexico and I Oregon so I will call her Saturday forehand because it's too hard to get through on Mother's Day. I think you going to send her some flowers and hope they get there for her Mother's Day.

That's a good why to spend mother's day but unlike some I am a single mother so I have to have my kids in stead of relaxing without kids and bf in bed.

Hopefully Mother's Day is a celebration for all.  I have 3 young children and I am excited to get my macaroni necklaces this year.  :D

Nothing different happens on Mother's Day for me. My kids might remember to say Happy Mother's Day and that is all that happens for me. I tell my mom happy Mother's Day and usually get her a gift for it. I'm really happy that I still have my mom. She is getting up there in age so I try to enjoy time with her while I get to enjoy having her around. IT will be real sad when I don't. Me and her are real close.

I'm not sure what we're going to do this year. It'll be a little different since we're living with my grandma. And she doesn't like to do much, if anything. I'll have to wait and see.

My mother has passed on so I will not be celebrating with her.  Instead I will be helping my grandchildren celebrate their mom probably at Olive Garden or some other resturant for lunch.

We are going to have a barbeque at our house this year which will be nice to do, since we haven't even hardly had any company over yet
