One of lifes little curves
« on: May 05, 2013, 05:35:21 am »
It was a spring day in 2009, I took a little spill and bumped my head. I was a little confused after and went and had some test done. A tumor was found. I was terrified! I was in the hospital within 7 day to have it removed. The got all they could because it had intertwined with my spinal Colum. A nerve root had to be taken the made my shoulder work. 10 days in the hospital and then home. I learned to work with my arm not fully functional. Went and have some radiation ( Gamma Knife) to prevent the residual tumor from growing. I went back to work after 3 months recuperation. There are some things I can do, like cart wheels, but at 49 years old I think that's ok. I survived because I always think positive and stay clear of negativity. With all that Life can throw at you, remember this too will pass.  Money matters come and go. Always keep your chin in the wind. I hope this little blip of my life will give you the strength to stay positive. Laughter is the best Medicine.
