Crowdflower Browser Issue
« on: May 01, 2013, 06:23:56 am »
I am getting an error message on all the tasks in Crowdflower's new alyout that says: Using IE 7 or earlier? The crowd uses modern browsers. Give Firefox a try.

I am unable to access these tasks. I am using IE 9, I just upgraded, but previously have been using 8 and never had an issue. I posted on Crowdflower's support page, but was just wondering if any other FCers are having this issue.

I use Firefox and I don't have any issues like that. I also have IE9 and I just went and tried to access the tasks and they are all working like normal. Did you make sure IE8 was completely uninstalled? I know sometimes the program won't work totally correct if one little piece of the old program is still installed.....other than that I have no clue.

What exactly is the error message you're receiving?  I was working on a Task earlier, got through 7 pages of it, then all of a sudden I got a message that began with "BUMMER."  I, too, posted on the crowdflower boards because I wasn't able to continue on with the Task.  However, I did get credit for the 7 pages I did complete.  PS:  I use Firefox all the time.

Skippy- I used IE 9 when I started Fusion Cash. I switched to Chrome and found I rarely have a problem. some people use firefox.

Infact since using Fuson Cash I have swicthed to Chrome overall and rarely use IE. I have had difficulties with it crashing. I thought it was my computer, but it when I purchased a new computer I still had difficulties.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help y'all. I am still getting this error about 35% of the time I try tasks, but sometimes it's working so I'll take what I can get. If Crowdflower responds to my post on their support site, I'll post the response here.

What exactly is the error message you're receiving?

The error says: Using IE 7 or earlier? The crowd uses modern browsers. Give Firefox a try.

hahaha, this is perfect. Trust me, if I had my choice I wouldn't be using IE, but it's out of my hands
