Try to see if you can job shadow both of them and see what one seems like a better fit for you.

I work in healthcare.  I would suggest doing the nursing program.  As others have previously stated, there's always a demand for nurses (so you'll always be able to find work) and the pay is really good.  If you can work with doctors and like handling patients, then this is a good choice.  There's also a lot of different specialities in nursing (pediatric, ER, etc.) and different types of positions available (you could be an administrator and deal with management issues rather than patients.)  Good luck with you choice and I hope you get back to school ASAP!

Search your heart for what you love to do.  That is your passion.  If you should choose one, I would choose dental assistant.  Good luck.

I agree!!

Choose one and after so many years get more schooling on the other and switch professions. I'd personally go with the one that would pay the most!

I would suggest doing some research. Can you take the general classes that would be needed for both careers first? If so, then you could take those first and have more time to decide.

Pick the one that appeals to you most.  Consider what it will be like to go to work daily in each position.

Look at pay rates and job availability in your area or the area you want to work.
