15 minutes into a survey...
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:56:08 am »
After answering survey questions for a good 15 mins, I clicked on the "next" arrow and got a message that the site was not available.  Then I couldn't get back to the survey.  Has this happened to anyone else?  What should I do?   (just another reason I don't try the surveys very often!)

This hasn't happened to me yet.  I usually spend 15 minutes on a survey and then it screens me out.  I don't do many of the surveys for this reason.  It seems I spend alot of time on them and get no results.

This has happened to me before and unfortunately, you are no longer able to complete the survey. You can try reloading, but that probably won't work since the original next link was incorrect.

If you exit out and try to restart the survey (assuming it was a FC survey and a direct link), it will say you already completed that survey and won't let you back in.

Don't get discouraged, keep trying!

Sometimes you can click F5 and it will reload the page for you. This will take you back to the last page you were one, but it doesn't work with all surveys. Sometimes when you hit F5 it takes you back to the beginning of the survey and then it will tell you the you don't qualify.  :( If I have a problem with a survey page taking too long to load or not loading, I will press escape to stop the page from loading and then click on F5 to reload it. Most of the times in that circumstance it will work, but it really sucks when it doesn't. My internet has been disconnecting me a lot lately and I've had to do this a bunch of times, since the survey will not load any farther. I have to reconnect and then refresh.

This just happened to me the other day. I was a good ways into a survey (I think it was a movie survey but not sure), and then I got a "page not found" error. Couldn't reload or go back either. Annoying, because I thought I was well on my way to some cash with that one.

I have had that happen to me, now and then, with surveys. It is some kind of glitch. There is probably nothing that you can do. You can probably try to click on the survey again and see if it will take you back to the page you were on when it failed or you can try to attempt the survey again if it is available to you. It could be that the survey closed as you were attempting to finish it.

Whenever I am beginning a long survey, I do take a deep breath because I know that that can happen. Anything can change or go wrong while taking the survey.

Very recently, on another site, I took a survey. it was about 15 minutes long. I got to the last page and submitted my answers and waited for my congratulations. Instead, I got a sorry, you are over-quota.  :BangHead:

I have had a whole variety of reasons why I get well into a survey (15 minutes plus) and then can't finish with no reward. It's very frustrating but doesn't happen too often. I really dislike the ones where you are actually finished and then something happens.

Right after reading this discussion and posting a response, I went to another site and took a 10 or 15 minute survey. It was a very interesting one and I came to the last page that told me I had completed the survey and to submit. I did so and was taken to an advertisement. This is a site that usually gives you a congratulations page. I never got this page. There was nowhere to go after the advertisement. I was supposed to get some kind of reward. As of now, I have not yet received the reward. I may get credit another day but it does not look good right now.  :dontknow:
