Depends what meetings they are and who is running them. If there is an agenda and the leader of the meeting sticks to it then the meeting can be informative. If the leader loses control of the meeting it can be "an hour we will never get back".

Too many meetings, especially when it contributes little to the job is very unproductive and unrewarding.

Meetings that are informative, keep everyone up-to-date and "on the same page" I think are necessary for a business to run smoothly and saves time in the long run.  Meetings that are "meetings" just because the boss wants to tell their boss that they hold "meetings" or just because they like to hear themselves talk (makes them feel important) are a waste of time.

We rarely have meetings at work, and usually I think they are a waste of time.

I think when meetings are actually a sharing of EVERYONES ideas (and, perhaps, not just the speaker/leaders), then they tend to be more fruitful.

I guess it depends on the meeting. Meetings can be provide you with information you need to know. But then again they can also be a waste of time.

meetings at my work are few and far between,
so when we actually have them, all the important stuff
can finally be brought up for discussion. i actually wish
we had MORE of them so everyone would be on the
same page all the time, instead of most of the time.

communication is key!

This depends.  Meetings can be informative and stimulative.  They can also be (big breath here):  boring, dull, excuses for BS sessions.  excuses to gossip, monumental time-wasters, obstructive, outragiously off-topis and way too long.

Depends....most of the meetings i have to go to throw a LOT of info at us all at one time and it's a bit overwhelming....but I guess some meetings would be boring and time waste to me otherwise
