Small town because everyone knows everyone.  I do not like big cities because it does get to the point of running into someone that you know down a lot.

I live in a small city- around 100,000. I really prefer it to a small town. There is public transportation, numerous activities and you can be totally alone while surrounded by others if you want. I grew up in a small town and hated it when everyone knew your schedule and everything about you. What they didn't know they made up. They have nothing better to do. I'll take a city over a small town anytime.

If possible it is best to live in a small town that is not too far from a big city.  Living in a small town is the best because of the peace and quiet.  The people are friendlier because everyone knows everyone.  However, it can get boring in a small town, so living near a big city has advantages.  You can go the city and have a good time, then come home to the quiet small town.  There are more things to do in the city than in a small town or in the country.  I have lived in both and I must say the small town is the best place to live, but a big city has big fun!!!

I think both has there perks and downsides. I have lived in a small town and big city. I loved the big city but I didnt want to raise my kids there so my husband I live in a small town now, I hate it at times, but I know its whats best for our kids. When they get older we are moving back to the city.

I've lived in both a big city and a small town... so far I prefer the big city. More to keep you entertained, and less drama.

I've grown up in a small town all my life, the same small town seems to be getting bigger by the day as of lately and I find, as this town gets bigger, there is more things that are irritating. :-
so yea, I'd rather be in a small town in all honesty :)

i've lived in the country where you give directions by saying, "you go past earl's barn and then take a left..." to living in one of the largest cities in the u.s. and everywhere in between.  i live in san antonio, tx, now, and i have to say it is my favorite place and i plan on staying here.  what i like about san antonio is that it is a big city with all that comes with it (the good and the bad) but in many ways it still has a small-town-feel.  i live in the suburbs so i don't have to deal with in-town traffic, but anything i want is nearby.

I feel that if you are a socially active person, big city would be the choice. Still, small towns are lovely too. The place I am in now is so peaceful and lovely. I haven't enjoyed this peace and nature's beauty for a long time. So for now, I vote small towns.  :notworthy: And to be honest, I believe if you have good friends/family around, it doesn't matter if the place is big or small, you will always enjoy.
