adult content
« on: April 08, 2013, 06:14:59 am »
I want to tell Fusion Cash how much I appreciate their site. However, I will not refer anyone to this site as long as it has all the adult content surveys. I avoid those because that is my preference.

Yesterday, I chose a HIT that appeared to be something much more innocuous than it turned out to be. There were many objectionable words that I did not expect to see.

I respectfully request that Fusion Cash refrain from using these kinds of HITs. If you feel you must provide that service (which I consider a great mistake), then I would like to know in advance how to refrain from accepting those tasks. Thank you for listening.

Please explain what a HIT is. Choosing questionable content should always be the choice of the chooser.

I'm totally confused.  I don't know what a HIT is.  I have never had a survey that was "inappropriate". The only adult only thing I can think of is under tasks and they state it's for mature adults and if you don't want to see those things, don't enter!

You can hide adult content tasks from being shown in your list. Scroll to the bottom of the Daily Task window and on the right it says "Currently showing tasks with mature content. You can hide adult tasks." Simply click the link for "hide adult tasks"

A HIT is a "Human Intelligence Task"

As a another poster posted, you don't have to choose those tasks.  They are quite clear in stating that they are "adult" related.  It's not fair of you to ask FC to "refrain from using these kinds of...."  There are many of us who choose to do these tasks and enjoy making money from them, that is, if you're talking about the "Tasks."  Otherwise, I would have to suggest that you may possibly be infected with a trojan or virus and this could be the reason why you are seeing "objectionable material."

OP I am sorry that you were offended. I do hope that you click to restrict adult tasks.
I do participate in the adult tasks and even though the actual "adult" images are few and far between
every once in awhile I will see something and go  :o or giggle.
Fusion Cash is great, stay with us and make some money!

I am glad you posted your concern.  I see the heading and read adult material and hesitate to open this task.  I always wondered how bad it could be and if it was something that the police would view as porographic or something like that.  So I stay away  from this task.  I also don't want my kids to see things not intended for their eyes.
Fairly new to this site I am learing other tasks and can make money through them.  ;)

I think "HIT" is Human Intelligence Task".

Different people have different levels of offence -- I am able to ignore the offensive pictures/language, but if you are not, I suggest hiding those tasks so you don't see them.

Well I guess they could rate them but that would kind of defeat the purpose. ??   :dontknow:
Having said that, I have tried a few times to do these but they have never worked or been available when I tried. So I think the exposure to the average user must be very minimal. Either way the user has a choice.  If you don't want to go in and do a task that asks you to rate adult content that may be offensive then why do it?   ???

I did some tasks earlier in the week that cracked me up with their use of objectionable language.  It was to see if the misused word was funny in the context of the sentence.  I literally laughed out loud at them and added money to my account in the process.

Like it was said over and over, if you object to something don't open it.  What you find offensive others might not.  To tell friends not to join FC is stupid.  Perhaps your friends do not object, and it's just on the tasks, which you can hide.

Just want to drop a note to say that you can indeed choose to hide the adult tasks completely via the link at the bottom of the page.
And also, said adult tasks are automatically hidden for members under 18 (and they cannot un-hide them until they come of age).

But in general our philosophy has always been to offer the maximum variety of earning opportunities with the expectation that some of them are not for everyone.  For most things (offers, surveys) we have an option to hide ones that you don't care for with a single click.  In short, you are in control!

So far IU haven't seen any like that.  I guess I've been fortunate.  I would prefer not to see them either.

Well the only ones I see are in the task area and Fusion Cash lets you know it is adult content.  They always warn you .  Just do not click on it.   I am not sure what a hit is either.   But I appreciate the warnings they give us and it is up to the person if they want to do that task or not.    :peace:

I havent seen any inappropriate surveys, though some of the image sorting tasks turn my stomach, but that is risk I take by not hiding adult themed tasks
