I finished up my taxes in March. Me and my husband owed a lot to state this year but got a bit back from federal. Most years we have gotten a bit back so it was a surprise that we even owed. I am not sure what changed from last year but it cut into our savings.

Same here.  Got them done in time.  Still no refund.  I hear a lot about people who get these huge refunds and I never get a refund.  Don't know how they do it?  Wish I was one of the refund people.....ugh...

I never get my taxes done early. I get 1099s from a couple of investments and I have yet to get  through a year when they don't send me a corrected form.  It is easier just to wait till the end and then file instead of filing amended ones later.  File once instead of filing, and filing amended returns.  I usually have it already to go in Feb so it is no problem to update it before I file it.

Most of them just have too much withheld from their paychecks during the year. Not a whole lot to it.

I did my taxes in February. I don't wait. Then again my taxes are still pretty basic so they're easy to do
