I've been getting along fine with a cellphone for several years.  Don't really need a landline.

I prefer and basically use my cellphone always, I still have hm phone mostly used for receiving and sending faxes. When it rings no-one answers it we dont use it nor give the number to anyone to be used on a regular bases.

We did away with our home phone several years ago.  It seemed like the only calls we ever got were wrong numbers or telemarketers.  Or, the call was always for someone else in our home.  This way at least when my cellphone rings, I know it is for me.
Have a wonderful day!

I ported my home phone number to my cell phone about 3 years ago. No more home phone.

I prefer my house phone, too. But it seems that some people would just rather have a cell. I have friends that only use their house phone for their computer and never use it to talk or call anyone. It does seem like a waste of money of me, but they say they need it for internet connection. I do like the use of the cell when I am out and about. I have a disabled husband, so I must be able to check in and he has to be able to call in case of emergency. My house phone does not drop calls, though, when I turn my head!

I have a house phone and a cell phone.  I am thinking seriously about getting another cell phone and having my house phone disconnected.  My reasons are that my house phone goes out when it rains and I need a backup number to put on my resume.  My cell phone loses calls and I have to pay for any additional minutes besides the 250 I get each month. :peace: :sad1:

We have a landline but never use it . The only people that call it are people we don't want to talk to anyway.

We have both. I love the convenience and versatility of my smartphone, but I also need the reliability of the landline. The good thing about a landline is that it never loses service(except maybe during a hurricane) and if you have an emergency the address is immediately visible to the 911 operator. I care for my 81 year old mother, and with her medical conditions, that reliability is very comforting.  :icon_rr:

I only use my cell. We had a house phone but no one used, so we just have cell phones.

Cell.  Though to be honest, a landline is useful after a hurricane.

I prefer landlines. I can't hear good on cell phones.
