I prefer homemade because it is healthier if you are a health conscious cook.  Nothing better than fresh fruits and vegetables prepared in your own kitchen.

It is really hard to say. The box cakes can be just as tasty as the ones you use your own flour and other dry ingredients. Th pudding boxes seem to make the box cakes more moist. I certainly think that the box cakes are easier to bake than homemade. Homemade cakes just seem to taste better! It may be that you just know that it is homemade and the power of suggestion makes you think it is better.

I like both. There's a stigma about box cake but it tastes okay to me.
