In my view, today's state of affairs is all about money and greed.  Regardless of whether we are talking medical insurance or other business sectors or activities.  Everything is about money.  No wonder the world is in such a sorry state!  We care more about money than we care about one another.

I don't think anything good about it - that is for sure.  My brother and I don't even have insurance and my mom has medicare which she pays a lot for every month and then can't afford to go to the doctor because of the 20% copay.  Something is wrong with this picture.

I have a friend who is single.  She had health insurance through her company, she was laid off when she was 63 years old, two years too early for Medicare.  She ad to buy Cobra insurance until she turned 65, her MONTHLY payment was $588.00 for two years.  How is that right?

My individual health insurance payment is way up there and I just got a notice that they are raising it.

It's to the point where my premium is higher than my mortgage payment used to be.

That's really sad.
