So....how long do people commute to work?

I only live 5 miles away from my job.

My commute is about 45 minutes by public transportation.

45 minutes to an hour one way on public transportation/subway system, but I can sleep on almost anything in motion, so I am usually fine as long as I can find a seat to sit on and make sure my phone is not out (I have fallen asleep browsing or text messaging).

I live 5 blocks away from my job. It's great because it saves on gas and I can walk if I want to if it is a nice day. With rising gas prices, it is nice to be able save a little money and miles on my car.

Depending on traffic, I can get there in 2 minutes.

My commute is pretty good, with only 2 miles... But in September I have to start using public transportation and that will take 5 minute drive to 30-40 min train

So....how long do people commute to work?

My commute on a good day is approx 30 minutes going in to work.  Forget it when it rains; then I'm looking at 45 to an hour commute on the way home.  There are lots of people who don't know how to drive in the rain and cause numerous car accidents; or they drive too slow.
