I have been very suspicious of the previous Pope's stepping down and I think there's a lot more to the story than we are being told.  As for the new Pope, I'm thinking he will be a more down-to-earth leader who sticks to the teachings of the church.  I pray for his success.

I am not Roman Catholic, but there has been so much 'talk' about this entire situation that it has got me interested. I too think that there is a lot more than is being let out concerning the 'changing of the guard'; as in I think that the former was 'urged' to step aside... I have no proof of that, but from all I have seen and heard it only makes sense to me.

The new guy seems to be a real help for the image of the organization, which has deservedly been seriously damaged from massive accounts of pedopilia and worse the steps taken to cover it all up. This change in leadership can only help, and the man seems to be of high standards and good character and repute.
