Its cookie time
« on: March 13, 2013, 08:23:21 am »
Everyone should know what time of year this is.  Its girl scout cookie time.  My daughter and I sold these when she was young and it was so funny to listen to people and hear about their favorite cookie.  What is your favorite girl scout cookie?? :P

I bought a box of chocolate thin mints; however, I bet they're all really yummy.
Have a great day!

Recipe for the easiest thin mints ever:

Melt bittersweet/semisweet chocolate with a bit of fat (oil or shortening)
Add ~1tsp of peppermint extract per 4oz of chocolate
Dip Ritz Crackers into chocolate and then let it harden in the fridge.

They're delicious (=

It has to be the chocolate mint hands down!  We always order a few boxes each year.

I love the thin mints. I buy them every time I can. I could eat an entire box myself in just a couple hours. I have been losing weight though, so I am going to have to have some will power because they are so so so so so so delicious.

My kids adore the Samoas or whatever those are called.  Hubby likes the peanut butter; I like the trefoil/shortbread.

There are usually Girl Scouts in front of the grocery stores, trying to sell their cookies.  We've seen them for weeks here.  It helps that our neighbor is a Brownie.  lol

My family loves the thin mints and samoas. In fact my hubby just saw the girl scouts selling them in front of Walmart and wanted to buy some. Guess he wasn't to interested he kept on driving by them.  ;D

No offense to the girl scouts but I could care less about their cookies.  I had rather have homemade cookies  :dontknow: a long, long very long time ago they had these coconut cream sandwich cookies (no one even remembers them but I do lol) and I loved those and if I had to pick one now it would be the mint chocolate ones.
