I personally am not a fan of Twinkies.  I may buy some for my husband and grandson.  They eat whatever. ;D

You are so right! I saw twinkies on my last visit to the supermarket being sold under Tastykake. I was floored! I haven't tried them yet but I will you can bet on it. This is great for twinkie lovers. :)

I absolutely love twinkies.  They are best when you stick them in the freezer and pull one out and eat on a hot summer day. Come on summer!!!!!!! :D

I never really thought they'd be gone for good, since so many people like them. I was expecting some old competitor like Sarah Lee to buy out the recipe. I'm glad to hear that they're coming back!

In their absence I've been trying different brands of similar snacks, and I've come to the conclusion that some Hostess snacks are way better than the others; however, I've also found, personally, that some individual snacks from other bakeries are far superior than those of Hostess. Consequently, I now have favorites from different bakeries and would find myself at a crossroads when/if they finally come back this summer. Because for some of my favorite snacks, every store will carry Hostess, but for some other snacks from different bakeries that have now become my favorites, I would have to look around for them, lol.

My ex used to carry boxes of them around with him. He was like the  twinkie king.   I like twinkies but not like that. I told him to go and have fun with his twinkies.

That's good to hear.  Now people don't have to buy them online for high prices.

My kids love Twinkies, but I rarely bought them anyway.  I'll have to give them a treat, though, when they return this summer.

Side note:  Years ago I bought a two-pack, ate them, then immediately felt like I was going to have a heart attack!  Yikes!  LOL

that's great news, twinkies are too big to get rid of permanately, especially with all things disappearing these days, like wickes furniture, levitz furniture and circuit city, I guess I like it the old ways, good thing its coming back.

Just read that a 410 million bid has been accepted to purchase the rights to several Hostess products including Twinkies.  It is expected that the famous spongecake will be back on shelves by this Summer.  Sure there are alternatives, but this made my day a little better. :)

Now, I wonder... will they TASTE the same????  Time will tell, eh?
